Summer time

harpers-bazaar-us-june-1995-lindberg-3

Carefree, sun-melting, joy-bursting, skin-glowing summer. Turquoise sky without limit. Heat-trembling air filled with fragrant molecules of cypress, honey and flowers. Crystal drops of spring water, each – its own rainbow Universe.

Summer… Much anticipated. Never long lasting. Always full of memories.

Some of the most beautiful Vogue covers

vogue italia linda

I’ve started a photo album on Facebook to collect my favourite fashion magazines covers and wanted to share a few here just to highlight such an event. For me, a good cover is the one that doesn’t feature a celebrity and awakens positive emotions in me. Unfortunately these days an unforgettable magazine cover is such a rarity that I can remember most of them by heart.

The little black jacket

“The Chanel jacket symbolises a timelessly fashionable form of nonchalant feminine elegance: it belongs to every era.”

Karl Lagerfeld

The story of the little black jacket continues… This time – with a  beautiful book The Little Black Jacket, a part of the project celebrating the Chanel classic that accompanies an exhibition opening in Tokyo this month. Styled by Carine Roitfeld and photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, the chic edition is a must have for any Chanel admirer.

I am speechless

MASTER RC_DP.indd

Yes, I really am because I can’t imagine how it can be possible to create a campaign that makes you think of another campaign as soon as the first photo appears? Well, of course, those unfamiliar with the original one, shot by Avedon for Versace in 1994, would find the Roberto Cavalli one quite palatable, but… Really??? Frankly, I find it sad.

Many lives of Bottega Veneta dress

As Sunday approaches I’m starting to feel an anxiety building up inside my stomach like a knot. The truth to be told, I really am not the first one to be photographed and yet I realise that a quick photo session would be a perfect opportunity to show you my Bottega dress (technically top and skirt, but hey, they look like a dress, so lets call it “a dress”) that I love so much. I really do hope that I’ll do it and the weather (and camera) will be kind to me and you will get to see the results in the afternoon.

For now, I would like to share a small but beautiful collection of editorials that feature one of my dream Bottega Veneta dresses (and this time it really is a dress). This gorgeousness made of silk, cotton and organza is from Spring 2010 collection and I’ve already mentioned it in my Saturday post. I love it so much I don’t mind featuring it twice… or more should I feel like it. Hope you’ve enjoyed my Bottega Week. I can honestly say it was my favourite of them all so far.
