“The Chanel jacket symbolises a timelessly fashionable form of nonchalant feminine elegance: it belongs to every era.”

Karl Lagerfeld

The story of the little black jacket continues… This time – with a  beautiful book The Little Black Jacket, a part of the project celebrating the Chanel classic that accompanies an exhibition opening in Tokyo this month. Styled by Carine Roitfeld and photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, the chic edition is a must have for any Chanel admirer.

Boy meets girl in Vogue 2001

vogue-us-feb2001-4

How fabulous is the styling in this editorial? This is a kind of androgynous chic I would be happy to adopt any time. And I don’t care that it’s 2001 because this is how I adore it. A flirty silk dress with a structured jacket, trousers with a delicate top and, of course, a pair of heels.
