Linda Evangelista in Harper’s Bazaar

Every Monday morning, breakfast and all the other usual activities done, I finally give myself a minute (or more likely half an hour) to finally relax in front of my laptop, cup of green tea steaming beside me, little pupster sleeping in my lap like a little baby, fashion magazine archives folder opened… I never know which editorial I am going to choose, it’s a mood thing, the inner feeling that develops from the moment I wake up and look outside. It’s never the same, so I am glad I’ve got quite a selection of beautiful images to play with.

Today is beautiful, bright, airy, fresh and positively summery. I wish we could take a trip to the seaside and get dissolved in a cloud of sunlight sprinkled with a crystal sea salt mist.

Weekend sign off

It feels a little strange to sign off after just a couple of days of blogging, but I am really looking forward to PC-unrelated activities and spending weekend with my men.

Next week is certainly going to be a “back-to-normal” kind of week: plenty of work and daily blogging.Although the work never really stopped, the time off blogging gave me a chance to evaluate a few things and priorities and make some decisions. It also brought me an exciting offer to be a part of the Lucky magazine community and do a bit of blogging for them once the project goes live on 10 August. Some of the posts will be featured on both Fashioned by Love and the Lucky website and some will be written specifically for the community. Come and say Hello – it’ll always put a smile on my face knowing that you are out there reading my humble creations.

For sanity sake, I’ve decided to blog for Fashioned by Love from Monday to Friday allowing myself some free time in weekends to relax, get inspired and draft a few stories.

Now, done with the news, I would like to wish you a beautiful weekend and fabulous weather!

Prada Fall 2012 campaign video

Prada has just released their new campaign video only made available to those “in the know”. Unless you had a link to their youtube page, you wouldn’t be able to find it.

Powerful, minimalistic, clean-cut and beautiful scenes accompanied by crystal-like Zen flavoured music feel surreal, almost like a shot from an Oriental fairy tale. Softly moving virtual reality mixed with visual pleasure.

DIY idea

Forgive me for talking about knitwear in the midst of summer. I’ve noticed this skirt on a runway months and months ago and thought it could be DIY’ed with a bit of patience and good yarn. Now the Sonia Rykiel Fall campaign is out and the image is large and clear (or so I say), I am absolutely positive I would be able to create something similar.
