After reading a story about Vogue’s favourite Spring/Summer 2012 campaigns that was published on their website, I decided to create my own list that, as it turns out, is somewhat different from the one offered by the “fashion bible”, particularly when it came to choosing the Roberto Cavalli ads that I’ve already blogged about. I also found it interesting that they mentioned Gisele being the most featured model having landed three campaigns including Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo and Givenchy where as I was under impression that this season was particularly good for Saskia de Brauw and Arizona Muse. Still relatively new, the girls were chosen by some of the biggest names in the industry and became faces of several brands. While Arizona Muse was chosen by, lets just do some maths here, Louis Vuitton Cruise, Fendi, Isabel Marant, KARL by Karl Lagerfeld, Massimo Dutti and, lets not forget, Next, Saskia starred in Chanel, MaxMara, Loewe, KARL by Karl Lagerfeld and Zara.
Don’t get me wrong, I adore Gisele and think that she is one of the most gorgeous models out there, but I used to be an accountant… A job title that sums things up. I also believe that it’s worth learning a few new names now and then rather than going with the obvious.
Now, the grumpy bit of over, I would like to present you with my choice of the most gorgeous campaigns for the upcoming season. They made it to the post because I like images that draw me in like an interesting story, a new beautiful experience, and make garments and accessories look desirable. I adore the sharpness and simplicity of black & white photos, the Longchamp ad that makes me smile every time I see it, and the macaroon sweetness and ice-cream coolness of colourful pastels that give me bubbles of endorphins. I think each of these images really is worth a thousand words (and will, most likely, generate even more in revenue).
P.S. I loved this Prabal Gurung campaign, too, but wanted to limit my favourites to 10, however, many of you also seem to be in love with it, so here we are. Prabal Gurung Spring 2012 campaign, by popular demand.

Can’t quite explain why I love this Oscar de la Renta campaign featured beautiful Karlie Kloss styled by Alex White and photographed by Craig McDean, but there’s just this “something”, the feeling of lightness and gorgeousness head to toe, a frost of lace, a tease of whispering feathers against the skirt, the sweetest shoes and Karlie’s amazing figure.

An indulgent drama created by yards of traffic stopping coloured crisp taffeta, intricate lace, perfect craftsmanship and classic patterns. My heart began to race as I was browsing the looks, falling in love with parachute skirt that begged to be gathered in my hands in all their voluptuous deliciousness when I take them dancing, white eyelet lace and crochet dresses, a white three-quarter sleeve coat and a powder-pink dress covered in delicate applique of organza petals, a burst of yellow and red silks, lady-like suits with an ageless feel and a gown that resembled melted gold covering every curve of the body. It felt fresh, young and perfect. Definitely my most favourite Oscar de la Renta collection so far.
