What do I adore about Paola the most? Actually, quite a few things… She has a cocker spaniel whom my boy would certainly had a crush on if the two ever got a chance to meet.
She designs and make her own clothes and her shoe collection is full of temptations. Her smile makes me smile back.
She is beautiful, smart, witty and very talented.
And above all else, I often feel moved by looking at her illustrations because she knows the magic of capturing the light.

Like a kid in a sweetshop I was seriously excited to find all these “jewels on a budget”. Ok, some aren’t that inexpensive, but most of this gorgeousness really is affordable! My first stop was the vintage Lanvin look-alike necklace that I’ve already mentioned on my Secret Page, but the more I looked the more beautiful pieces I discovered. The Soleil collection is my absolute favourite, especially the cuff and the poppy statement ring. I’ve added half a store to my CurrentlyObsessed list and will definitely treat myself to a trinket or two soon. Below are just some of the pieces I adore. Here I am, wrapped in a merino cardi, recovering from a cold with a help of all kinds of natural aids, dreaming of summer, hoping that it didn’t forget about us and will be back soon.
That enviable body belongs to the one and only Doutzen Kroes photographed for the June issue of Elle Russia. Summer as it should be, sun and sea, stripy floppy hat included. Wish I was there…

I can guess what some people may say after seeing today’s title, but yes, that’s right, among so many Resort collection, Rachel Zoe stood out for me as soon as I saw it. It was impeccable in a way it was executed, coloured, styled and presented. The blend of soft peachy and mint hues, crisp white and rich bright blues, pinks and oranges to caress or electrify the mind, prints that made me think of summer fields full of beautiful cornflower blooms and silky poppy petals trembling in the wind, straight to the point attitude of classy suits, flirty, carefree and coquettish pleats and ruffles, a bit of seventies, gorgeous jewellery, beautiful footwear, especially those teasingly semi-transparent white and nude boots, soft as butter handbags, sunglasses, flowing endless scarves…
Those little ideas like pushing the sleeves of your jacket to reveal the long sleeves of a classic shirt (so genius! and actually made me think of Victorian times somehow), wearing a long cardi over that mint dress (I can definitely do it with my Tibi one) or the messy but still groomed hair.
Perfection I couldn’t help falling in love with. And yes, I know it may be hard to many to accept Rachel Zoe in her new role, but I also have a feeling that it’s only because she makes it look totally effortless – an ability only given to people who are very good at something they do. With her Resort 2013 she made me feel excited, happy and alive and it’s not that often I feel that way about clothes (as much as I love and appreciate them).
Love these necklaces so much. Such a perfect final touch to a daily outfit. Hope I won’t miss the moment when they become available. Still trying to decide which one to go for – the all-pastel option or a touch of emerald as it would definitely compliment the ever-changing colour of my eyes.
