Chanel Cruise 2012 Lookbook

A beautiful look book shot by Karl Lagerfeld to follow an unforgettable collection and a very stylish movie. I fall in love with the black and white photography all over again – in such a classy way the lack of colour lets us focus our attention on clothes, lines and each and every detail, from pleats and buttons to delicate embroidery and gorgeous jewellery. So very classy, elegant and truly Chanel.

Simple, natural and elegant, the Baby Doll editorial was shot by Jacques Olivar for Marie Claire France in 2001. Reminds me of Roversi’s photography with the intensity factor turned down creating softer, not too soul-burning images that are nevertheless stunning.

… this Tory Burch leather clutch. With its snake-skin print and burgundy/purple colour, the bag feels like a perfect addition to the Fall 2011 wardrobe. Plus it’s on sale. I’m feeling very tempted… And you?

Weekend sign off

Of course, I thank Coco Chanel for bringing this item of clothing to our attention. As always, she was right. The simple Breton top is such a chic and stylish piece that it can’t be ignored. I must admit, I resisted for a while, but last spring I bought one to try and see if the synergy between me and the stripes has a chance for survival, and our affair quickly grew into never ending love. I’ve been wearing my Breton tops day in and day out because they transform any outfit into something special and feel like a part of me, almost my second skin.

I associate this summer with stripes, but not planning to say good buy to them just because the season is almost over. Instead, I’m on a mission to add a Breton style sweater or two to my Fall/Winter wardrobe and keep the magic happening.
