I really liked it how W described the idea behind this editorial published in March 1995: “Crossing classic concept with edgy currency… The domain of clothes that don’t argue with reality.” Beautiful foreword, Linda captured in black & white by Craig McDean – it was definitely my kind of fashion story.

I really wish I knew the story behind this editorial from W magazine. Have you noticed how Natalia’s expressions change from curious to bored to tearful? Sweet, a bit awkward at times, almost like a fawn, or a little girl playing dress-up with her mum’s clothes.

I love this editorial shot by Bruce Weber. It’s was a treasured possession that got lost because somebody (yes, moi) forgot to do a back-up and then found again years later (and yes, carefully saved on a separate disk this time by, of course, yours truly).
The first and second photos are the ones I’ve always been most found of, but frankly, I think all of them are gorgeous.
